Directrice artistique de la compagnie Winter story in the wild jungle, l’artiste Sarah Trouche vit et travaille entre Saint Laurent du Médoc et Paris. Avec le festival Perform, elle fait découvrir chaque été son univers artistique aux habitants de sa région d’enfance. La performance est considérée par l’artiste comme un espace de rencontre, un partage d’émotion autour d’un moment unique. Cette dimension performative apparaît dans une programmation d’envergure nationale et internationale qui couvre à la fois les champs de l’art contemporain, des arts numériques et des arts vivants.
Artist Sarah Trouche is the artistic director of the Winter Story in the Wild Jungle Company; she lives and works between Saint Laurent du Médoc and Paris. Each summer, with Perform Festival, she shows her artistic universe to the inhabitants of her childhood region. The performance is thought by the artist as a meeting space, a sharing of emotions around a unique moment. This performative dimension is part of a programme of national and international scope that covers at once the fields of contemporary art, digital arts and performing arts.

Des formes courtes portées par des artistes venant du champ de l’art contemporain de la danse et des arts numériques avec des ateliers pour les plus jeunes et les plus âgées.

Avec le festival Perform, elle fait découvrir chaque été son univers artistique aux habitants de sa région. La performance est considérée par l’artiste comme un espace de rencontre, un partage d’émotion autour d’un moment unique. Cette dimension performative apparaît dans une programmation d’envergure nationale et internationale qui couvre à la fois les champs de l’art contemporain, des arts numériques et des arts vivants.
En France, à Bordeaux et dans le Médoc, Perform présentera sa sixieme édition entre le 16 et le 25 août 2024.En plusieurs évènements, cette manifestation pensera le Vivant sous toutes ses formes.
Sur ce fil rouge, les artistes accueillis mettrons la Performance à l’honneur en traversant ce qu’elle défend dans l’art contemporain, en représentant ses échos dans les arts vivants, et ce qui parcourt l’art numérique. Pensé par Sarah Trouche, Perform veut fédérer les générations en festoyant et en proposant d’explorer le patrimoine matériel et immatériel de la région Nouvelle Aquitaine.
PERFORM EN BREF
→ Des Performances , des ateliers et rencontres intergénérationnels réalisées sur les quais à Bordeaux , en EHPAD, en centre aérés et sur des sites patrimoniaux en médoc tel que le Fort médoc.
→ Une croisière performative pour 150 personnes sur la Garonne puis sur l’estuaire jusqu’au Fort médoc.
→ Une résidence d’artiste d’une semaine pour 10 artistes ou cie invités au Fort Médoc.
→ Un diner et des apéros fraternels performatifs à Bordeaux et en médoc.
→ Des soirées artistiques exceptionnelles à Bordeaux, sur le fleuve , au Fort médoc , au domaine de Nodris et à la Maison de Grave.
→ Une médiation alternative et lumineuse pour 1500 habitants environs avec des archives vidéos et photos en ligne et accessible à tous.
→ Un festival à mobilité douce et eco-construit . Circuit court avec les producteurs locaux , repas végétariens, vélos pour les artistes et les équipes , utilisation de transports partagés tel que le bateau, vélos et les trains.
→ Une production d’oeuvres soucieuses de l’éco-conception et en relation avec le patrimoine de Nouvelle Aquitaine et les artisans locaux tel que le grès médocain.
→ Des rendez-vous pour les professionnels du secteur de la performance venant de l’art contemporain, des arts vivants
et des arts numériques. , DRAC , région NA, Département de la Gironde , OARA, Communauté des communes , - Villes , IDDAC, réseau Astres,Centre Wallonie Bruxelles, Goldsmith university, Amis du Palais de Tokyo.

→ « L’archipel des Cultures » est une œuvre itinérante, activée avec des structures culturelles complices, opérateurs locaux, régionaux , nationaux et internationaux : Le Centre Wallonie Bruxelle-C-E-A-La Métive, la Fôret d’art contemporain, Le festival Wow, Le festival trente trent, Le collectif CCM, LA TOURNÉ, La Maison François Méchain, La briqueteri, Le Cube/Monta, Captures Espace Art contemporain de Royan.

Artistic director of the company Winter story in the wild jungle, artist Sarah Trouche lives and works between Saint Laurent du Médoc and Paris. Every summer, she brings her artistic universe to the people of her region through the Perform festival. The artist sees performance as a meeting place, a sharing of emotions around a unique moment. This performative dimension is reflected in a national and international program that spans the fields of contemporary art, digital art and the performing arts.
In France, in Bordeaux and the Médoc, Perform will present its sixth edition between August 16 and 25, 2024, with several events reflecting on the Living in all its forms.
Following this common thread, the artists invited to take part will honor Performance by exploring what it stands for in contemporary art, representing its echoes in the living arts, and what runs through digital art. Conceived by Sarah Trouche, Perform aims to unite the generations by celebrating and exploring the tangible and intangible heritage of the Nouvelle Aquitaine region.
PERFORM IN BRIEF
→ Intergenerational performances, workshops and encounters on the quayside in Bordeaux, in EHPAD, in day-care centers and on heritage sites in the Médoc such as the Fort Médoc.
→ A performance cruise for 150 people on the Garonne, then on the estuary to Fort Médoc. A one-week artist residency for 10 guest artists or companies at Fort Médoc.
→ Performative fraternal dinners and aperitifs in Bordeaux and Médoc.
→ Exceptional artistic evenings in Bordeaux, on the river, at Fort Médoc, Domaine de Nodris and Maison de Grave.
-An alternative, illuminated mediation service for around 1,500 inhabitants, with online video and photo archives accessible to all.
→ A festival with soft mobility and eco-construction. Short circuits with local producers, vegetarian meals, bicycles for artists and crews, use of shared transport such as boats, bicycles and trains. Eco-design-conscious production of artworks linked to the heritage of New Aquitaine and local craftsmen such as Médoc sandstone.
→ Meetings for performance art professionals from the contemporary, performing and digital arts sectors.

La compagnie Winter Story In The Wild Jungle est un cadavre exquis sous la direction artistique de Sarah Trouche. La compagnie organise un festival annuel, "Festival Perform" autour de l’art contemporain, les arts numériques et la performance sous toutes ses formes. L’association participe à la visibilité des artistes contemporains en valorisant la ruralité, avec les acteurs locaux et associatifs autour de créations pluridisciplinaires et de programmes d’actions territoriales artistiques.
Winter Story In The Wild Jungle is a collaborative project under the artistic direction of Sarah Trouche. The company organizes “Festival Perform,” an annual celebration of contemporary, digital, and performance art that hosts multidisciplinary artists for a creative residency, and offers them a forum to present their work. By gathering these artists, and with the support of local partners and volunteers, the company aims to promote the countryside and its community
